About Us

Our Purpose & Strategy:

The most important duty we have as Christians is to spread the Gospel. Our second most important duty is to preserve those freedoms that allow us to spread the Gospel.

Formerly called "God in Government," our ministry was founded in 2010 as an organization for the sole purpose of educating Christians in the areas of political ideology and civic responsibility. The Bible commands that, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities" (Romans 13:1). So it stands to reason that we need to ask: to what type of government do we want to submit?

Our objective has always been to help Christians answer this question from a true biblical and historical perspective, so as to prepare us to better serve God (and His people) as responsible participants in today's civic arena. Our outreach includes live presentations and events, the books God in Government and Solid Food for the Soul, along with other resources designed to instruct Christians as to why we should get involved politically, and how our involvement can reverse the trend of ungodliness that has taken over in our society and government.

Over the last few years, our organization saw the need to expand its message and curriculum to include other key institutions and areas of life - not just government and politics. In 2014 we changed our name to Liberty Lighthouse Ministries and became a teaching ministry dedicated to God's cultural mandate and a Biblical worldview. God admonishes, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). We feel that our nation's cultural decay is the direct result of the Christian's truncated view of spirituality, and a lack of knowledge due to an indifference toward the political realm and the culture in general.

In other words, the Bible provides a positive blueprint for all-of-life, including philosophy, law, economics, labor, politics, government, education, history, science, mass media, sociology, and so on. Therefore, a properly informed Christian electorate with an accurate Biblical worldview is fundamental to returning America on her path of "one nation under God" that our Founding Fathers intended.

Our Ideology & Worldview:

The United States was founded by Christians, on biblical principles and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Basic to the biblical law of liberty for man is property, and without property rights no other rights are possible. Property is protected under God's laws of "thou shall not steal" and "thou shall not covet." The basic unit of our civil government, according to God, is the family; and biblical law protects the family and property as a fundamental unit.

Therefore, we are opposed to all progressive and coercive taxation on the grounds that they are destructive to the family and individual liberty. Instead we support a non-progressive and less coercive tax structure, such as a true flat tax. Consequently, we oppose all socialistic government programs that directly infringe upon our liberty, such as public welfare and socialized healthcare.

Accordingly, we also support our Founding Fathers' biblically inspired concepts of a limited government, states' rights, self-governance, and the general acceptance of the Bible as our code of standards. We believe, as did our Founders, in the biblical principles of self-reliance, hard work, a competitive free-market, and private charity. We also believe in a strict adherence to the Constitution (i.e. making law is the job of the legislature and therefore judges should not be allowed to "legislate from the bench").

LEARN MORE ABOUT THESE PRINCIPLES (famous quotes and Bible verses)

On the "social issues," we are pro-life and support traditional marriage. We support constitutionally protected gun ownership rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment that gives the individual the right to keep and bear arms.

As for academics, we believe that a child's education is the responsibility of the parents (or the private sector) and not that of the civil government. And we are for reinstating voluntary prayer, Bible study, and equal time given to the teaching of creationism in public schools (so long as government education exists).

On foreign issues, we are for acting alone (unilaterally) rather than under leadership of the United Nations (UN). We support a strong military and the protection of Israel. We are opposed to amnesty for illegal immigrants, and believe that the government should enforce current immigration laws. We are also skeptical of global warming and the scientific studies that prove the impact humans have on climate.

Our Statement of Faith:

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, literal, and authoritative Word of God. In other words, the only thing trustworthy is the Bible alone. Any idea or practice must be taught in Scripture; otherwise it has no authority and is "anti-Christian." The apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to Timothy, "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." The Bible is reliable because, unlike people, God does not lie, forget, change his words, or leave his promises unfulfilled. We can trust the Bible because it contains the words of a holy, trustworthy, and unchangeable God. Psalm 33:4 says: "For the word of the Lord is right and true: he is faithful in all he does."

According to the Bible, salvation is by faith in Christ alone, and is a personal (individual) undertaking. In the letters to the Romans and Galatians, Paul taught that "a man is justified apart from observing the law" (Romans 3:28). By his own strength, a man is a lost soul. He can't earn his way to heaven by leading a good life, going to church, performing sacraments, or anything else he does. In fact, it is impossible to be good enough. The Bible says, "There is no one righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10).

Instead, the message of the Gospel is that we are saved by a righteousness entirely outside of ourselves - the righteousness of Jesus Christ. By His perfect life, innocent and substitute death, and bodily resurrection, Christ had fulfilled the demands of God's law on behalf of anyone who believes in Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." A gift is not something that is earned or worked for - it is free.

So, in order to receive God's free gift of salvation, one must first acknowledge that there is the need of a savior. The Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Secondly, you must recognize God's love and that Christ died for your sins on the cross. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Lastly, you must receive His free gift of forgiveness and salvation simply by allowing Christ to come into your heart. The Bible tells us, "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).

As children of God, we have direct access to the Father. According to the Bible, every believer is a priest and doesn't need anyone other than Jesus to intercede between himself and God the Father. The death and resurrection of Christ has guaranteed free access of all believers to God. John 16:23-27 and Hebrews 10:19-23 tell us that once we accept Jesus' gift of salvation, we have significant privileges associated with our new life in Him. The Bible talks about a new relationship between the believer and God. Previously, people approached God through priests but after Jesus' resurrection, any believer could approach God directly. We are able to approach God, not because of our own merit, but because Jesus, our great high priest, has made us acceptable to God the Father.
